New Feature:
We have always felt that it is a good idea to keep "hard copy" copies of our receipts. This, of course allows you to duplicate a days work should the requirement arise. As the reliability of Windows XP Professional Operating system has improved significantly, we have re-evaluated this requirement, and have developed a facility whereby your software will write Print Image Files to your hard disk as a visual backup of your days receipts.
We have become GREEN
We have also changed BookAccents to understand that when you say "Print Receipt" you now mean to print one hard copy receipts, and write an image to your hard disk. When you shy "No Receipt", that means do not print a hard copy, but save a disk image to your hard disk. (And save a tree)!
In order for this capability to function properly, your system must be carefully and precisely configured.
Important Note: Some preloaded Windows XP Professional configurations (Dell for one) is unable to correctly perform the following procedure. Please contact their support for assistance should you have difficulties performing this setup. The problem is that the Windows Registry does not correctly reflect the processing of the following Wizard.
The following information assumes that you are using a recommended HP 4100 Series Printer.

Enter C:\program files\bookaccents\receipts.prn into the dialogue box, when displayed.

You next select the printer type from the lists.

Unless you have a good reason, you should keep the old driver.

You MUST Name this Printer as "File".
You DO NOT want this to be your default printer.

This Printer should NOT be Shared.

You Wizard should look something like this

You should now have a new printer that looks like this.
How it works:
A file named "receipts.prn" is written to the folder "c:\program files\bookaccents" as a receipt is printed.
The software then copies the file and names it as R0000, where "0000" is the receipt number to folder "c:\program files\bookaccents\Receipts".
A copy of your receipts will be stored here, until you delete them.
What can you do with this?
Visit http://www.visual.co.uk. You can download an evaluation version of a VISUAL PCL/2, A HP PCL viewer.
Using this program, you can view and print these receipts, as required.
