We have recently discovered that the BookAccents system can perform erratically when undetected network errors occur.

The problem can manifest itself in many ways, including aborts of BookAccents.

We have found that managed hubs can greatly improve the reliability of BookAccents.   Managed hubs allow you network administrator the ability to check on the error status of your network.

Our network was comprised of a mixture of dub and router hardware, some new, and some as old as 8 years.

Notes:

We replaced all of the hubs and routers with managed devices.

We were able to purchase HP managed hubs at great prices from Ebay.
