Developed In House
BookAccents was designed and written by a professional software development company, who also happens to own a "trading" book store. Since we developed BookAccents to use in our facility, we incorporated every feature necessary to accomplish the business at hand. Because the development staff shares the same building with our book store, we were able to quickly correct and improve our product. BookAccents was first deployed in our facility in October, 2001. We have not attempted to market it until now (February, 2004). It is now a reliable multi-user enabled and certified product.
Book Trading
We developed unique book trading capabilities into our software. You may apply configuration parameters to customize BookAccents to your business.
ISBN Database
BookAccents provides a dynamic ISBN Database. No need to subscribe to a service.
Book Inventory Database
Each book has a unique entry in the Inventory Database. Unlike the traditional design, where a quantity is assigned to an ISBN, BookAccents provides unique records "pointing to" an ISBN. This allows you to have new and used books, and books of varying quality (all with the same ISBN) treated, stored, and priced differently.
Point of Sale Cash Register
You may have one or more computers providing Point of Sale Cash Register Capabilities. Each has dynamic access to BookAccents Databases, and each outputs sales and inventory history individually.
By adding optional equipment such as Pole Displays and Electronic Cash Drawers, you can build your BookAccents system in to truly professional, state of the art Point of Sale System.

Book Labels
BookAccents prints book labels identifying each book in your store. The Book Inventory Number Bar-code provides the necessary information for the point-of-sale sub-system to accurately apply your store's trading policy and pricing to each, individual book.
Because each book is treated as an individual, and each wears a unique label, books can be stocked and easily located because of our powerful Bar-coding and Labeling Capabilities. See Book Label Argument
We have developed software for portable, hand-held bar-code readers. Every time a book is moved or an inventory performed, the books' shelf locations can be scanned and associated with a shelf location. See Hand Held Portable Reader
Label Scanning Process
When books are stocked or subsequently moved, you may immediately update the books' locations with a portable scanner.

Ease of Use
We know that you need to frequently train new employees, getting them productive as quickly as possible. We have eliminated as much, as possible, book knowledge requirements with our book trading and labeling features. Rather than training an employee about where to stock Nora Roberts books, and "remembering" that you already have 20 copies of every John Grisham Paperback ever printed, BookAccents does that for you. As you trade books, BookAccents gives a gently reminder about these situations.
Customizable Reports
We deliver BookAccents with a sufficient array of printable reports to allow you to efficiently conduct your daily business. We use Crystal Reports, making it easy for us to provide customized reports for you, or, because of the popularity of Crystal Reports, you can develop reports locally.

BookAccents is a 21st Century Software Product. Internet capabilities, power and features are incorporated at every turn. Because of this, BookAccents always provide the most up-to-date information about new books.
