BookAccents is a Windows XP Professional based Database Management System. BookAccents makes extensive use of the Microsoft Access Database Format. In order to prevent problems before they start, it is recommended that the use purchase Name Brand Equipment. In my many years of developing software and troubleshooting problems, I have found that a few dollars spent on the front end of a project is paid back many times over.

The supported printer is a Zebra TLP2844. Many OLDER versions of this printer are also supported. One of the important features of this printer is that it uses a Thermal Transfer Ribbon, rather than Direct Thermal Mode. The printing on the label will last indefinitely when a ribbon is used. Direct transfer labels start to immediately fade, and are very sensitive to light, heat and humidity. |

These are available from us at CRT Systems. You are welcome to find your own source, but to obtain these, we had to have a custom die made. These are "Easy-Peel" labels. Special paper and glue are used, achieving the proper balance of label Durability, "Stickyness" and "Peelability".
We also have a special label that we use for labeling our book shelves. These labels are much stickier, and are less prone to come off of the shelves. |
