You got here by depressing the Tools Button on the Main Screen. This screen provides Tools, or Utility Functions. Its most powerful feature allows you to apply certain actions to many books by just selecting the action required, and continuously scanning books' bar code labels.
There are many other topics explaining the various elements on this form, so for this topic, we will concentrate primarily on the "Batch" Actions that can be performed on your Book Inventory Database by selection options in the "Label Modification Tools" Frame.
There are many times that you may wish to perform the same action on a large number of books.

Please Note: Certain combinations of options may be checked in the "Label Modification Tools" Frame. BookAccents will either Disable, or un-check boxes when the combination of selected actions is not Permitted. Dealing with Disabled Elements.
In the examples depicted below, since it doesn't make sense to do any other action if you are deleting a label, all other options are disabled.. You might, however want to change the "Category", and "Location" as well as Reprint ("Auto Duplicate") a label.

For Example, you may wish to junk a hundred or so books. BookAccents provides several efficient methods of doing this (systematically):
Delete the books from the Book Inventory Database. The book will disappear, just as though you never had it.
Do this by Clicking the "Auto Delete" CheckBox.
Answer "Yes" to the Auto Delete Question that will be subsequently displayed.
Scan all of the books you wish deleted.
Remember to Exit.
Change to location to "TRASHED", for example. This way, when you do a book lookup, you will see it listed with a TRASHED Location.
First Type "TRASHED" into the "Location" Field of the Default Frame.
Check the "Auto Change Lock" CheckBox.
Scan all of the books you wish placed in that location. Your Book Inventory Database will immediately reflect this change.
To Change the Category of a Stack of Books
First Select a category in the Defaults Frame.
Check the auto "Change Cat" CheckBox.
Scan all of the books you wish placed in that category. Your Book Inventory Database will immediately reflect this change.
To Automatically Print Duplicate Labels.
Having this option selected (when applicable) prints a label with a Duplicate Inventory Number, however any printed information will reflect the changes made to the data.
Check the "Auto Duplicate" CheckBox
Scan all of the books for which you wish new labels to be printed. The same inventory numbers are used. There are no changes to the Book Inventory Database.
Alternative Inventory Control.
When you are just starting up your BookAccents Software, you may not wish to immediately begin using the Cash Register Feature. This may be due to many factors. However, you should immediately begin Implementing Inventory Control on Your New System. To make it easy, the Mark As Sold Feature allows you to quickly scan the labels and enter today's date as the date sold;
Check the auto "Mark As Sold" CheckBox.
Scan all of the books that were sold. Your Book Inventory Database will show today's date as the date the book was sold. Please Note: No other action is performed such as the Cash Register Feature.
Clear Date Sold reverses the effect of the above action.
